Introduction


Most of the bioinformatics work is not specific to cereals and wherever possible software is built to be generic. Monogram is linking with other groups e.g. the Brassica Research Community to exploit synergies.

Monogram has a significant CSG commitment in each institute to this activity, which is operated as a single cross-institute action. A significant component is data gathering and curation in labs where the data was generated.

Another objective of this group, is to raise awareness of which tools are currently available to researchers, and to offer training and advice on their use, via the Monogram web site.
